Swedish youth soccer again!

Today I took some photos of my oldest son at his first match of the year. I have tried to learn from previous tips and trix. I happily take critics because I want to learn. I really feel that my lens is holding me back when it comes to image quality so I hope to afford another lens soon. This was also the first time I shot soccer in manual mode. And it was my second outdoor soccer game I shot ever.

The difference between these shots and the previous ones you posted are like night and day. A much better job so you should be happy. It's true, shooting sports is lens and also depending on the conditions body intensive, so getting better glass can really help. However as you see, there is a lot of technique as well to learn, and you have certainly taken a big leap forward.

i agree with mark, these look like a nice improvement.

you seem to be a quick learner within photography, keep up the good work, look forward to more

Thank you!
Im glad to hear that from you guys.

Im pretty pleased with the timing and composition of the shots, but the images are way to soft. I had to sharpen them in Photoshop, and they are still to soft. At least some of them. But then again, its the cheapest Nikon telezoom lens so I have to be happy with the photos I think. But Im saving for a better lens.

Anyway, thanks again.

Best regards/Daniel

By the way, the white dots in the two last photos are actually snow;-)

Nice series and nice improvement on your part. One more suggestion - you had enough light for faster shutter speeds. So don't be afraid of ISO 400 and 800. I like to have speeds over 1/1000. Again, nice job!!!

Thanks John. I was hoping you say that:-)
I will try to go with faster shutterspeed and raise the ISO a bit next time.

Take care//Daniel
