Hi Everyone!

My photography partner and I would like to use lighhts for our next basketball game. We are unsure how to do the setup, as we have lights and flashes and pokect wizrads to work with. We need advice on how to setup our lights, proper safety cables and equipment to buy etc. Plus we have premission from the school.

Our equipment for lights/flashes as follows:

2 Alienbee's 800W

2 Canon 550 EX Flashes

1 Canon 580 flash

4 Pocket wizards

1 Quantum Turbo 4x4 battery pack (Not sure if this is needed or not)

Best,

Jerry

Id set up the aliens Bees up high, on either side of the end of the court. Point them towards thefree throw line. This would be your main light source.Id set up the 580 on the floor, lower to the ground at the end of the court. If the walls are white, Id bounce it off the wall. If the wall is colored Id use a diffuser and aim it directly. Since this will be your fill light, keep the power low...perhaps 1/8.
