TG as usual a really good series of shots. I take it you are using the Canon 100-400 IS for these with a 1.4x TC added for the second one. The penultimate one is my fave as you can really feel the movement and you have done a great job of panning!

Having just moved from Konica Minolta to Canon so have not shot any cars yet with the new kit do you use IS for these shots or is it turned off? I don't have any IS lenses in my kit where as the KM had it built in so wanted to find out if I was going to have any problems.

Thanks for your help.

Mark

Thanks Mark, The second shot was taken with Canon 400mm 5.6 L & 1.4x TC and the rest were taken with Canon 70-200 f2.8 L with and without 1.4x TC.

None of these lenses have IS, I only have one lens with IS and that's the 24-105 f4 L IS. I don't use IS for action shots when I use this lens as I beleive IS does not help with moving subjects (my opinion only) unless your panning and you are usingone of Canon's lenses with mode 2 IS.

Nice job TG. I love shooting race cars because of the many eye popping colors.
