Default Superbikes (WSBK 2010 Phillip Island)

Have not posted here for a long time, finally got out again after a few months and took some motorsport pics. Anyway here are some shots from last weeks round of the WSBK at Phillip Island.

With the exception of #4 and #6 (blurred subject), these are outstanding. The panned shots are sharp and the compositions really convey the skill of the rider and the danger of the sport!

Thanks jelpee, with 4 & 6 this is the effect I was after using slow shutter speeds (lots of motion blur with part of the subject sharp). #4 1/80 sec good part of the bike is still sharp & in #6 1/30 sec lots of motion blur but riders helmet is sharp.

Nice shots. The details and colors look great; I like the slight blur in 4, more-so than 6.

Very nice series. They really convey the sense of speed that these bikes can reach. Really like the looks of the 1098R and S1000RR in 1 and 3.

lovely set Tom! nice to see you back. Personal pick being #5 for the lovely feel of movement. #3 is IMHO a fraction too late!. Kind regards Graham.

Tom, Great set, always love your work. I know how hard it is to shoot Bikes and come up with something different from the norm, but you make it look too easy. Look forward to seeing more !!!!

Regards Tom
