Hello all here's a few pics from a "Challange cup" tie between a pro side featherstone Rovers & an amateur team, the Army! & yes the team is really made up of Soldiers:biggrin:.
I'm afraid it turned out pretty one sided with the pro team running in over 70 points to nil:frown:. but it's great that a amateur team can elevate to play the pro teams in a competition:smile: #1 ![]() #2 ![]() #3 ![]()

Great shots again Graham, it would have been an easy choice for which end to shoot from, bet the army lads enjoyed the experience

Thanks Colin, I actually shot at the Army's attack end first on the off chance of an upset but stayed put as the Pro team attacked in the 2nd half!. Curiously the same 2 teams met last year in the same fixture & the pro team won by 90 points so an improvement there!.
You have to accept that the Army team is forever changing all the time as players become front line fighters in Afganistan etc which gives it a little more poinionsy. Kind regards Graham.
