Phil, thanks for your kind comment. I have a difficult time taking surfing shots because if it's any good I'm in the water & not behind the lens. Trying to figure out a way to lock up my equipment so that it is with me after I get out :idea: :idea:

It looks like you're very close to the surfer. Do you wade out into the water to take your shots?

-jb, this day the waves were small, the tide was out & my 35-350 zoom ends up a 580mm on the 10D. I was standing on wet sand but not getting wet & still I cropped down to the essential action. The 6.3 mp of the 10D allows great latatude for extra cropping. Eventually I would like to get a Sigma 500 4.5 (which will be 800mm on the 10D) but that, at it's cheapest, is $2700----- OUCH :shock:
