Why thanks, Normcar.
By the way..... What happened to your flash? If it is some sort of manufacturing problem, that worries me... wouldn't want mine to go boom.

I sent it back, warranty, today. Cost me 28 dollars Canadian to send it back to Ontario and with return postage included. They wouldn't take it back for exchange after less than 20 days. So I took the warranty road. Hopefully that will work out. In all honesty I'm a bit tired of playing games with dealers so what happens happens. I won't deal with them again, though. I just sent an email directing customer relations to this string.

You don't think they're connected with Tony Soprano, do ya? LOL

Henry...

hehe, not quite what I meant. The "never hear from me again" statement related to being booted from a forum for bad advertising practices.

However: a slight crack of encouragement towards the company now.

Recent happenings cause me to update:
B&H "did" finally offer to take the flash back, which is somewhat encouraging, but I had already wrapped it up for warranty so I told them, no.

I just bought the 70-200 IS from a camera outfit I've had success with. I've always appreciated the way that this particular outfit has done business with me in the past. I should have stuck with them in the first place.

PS - I've always been jealous that you had that lens and I didn't.

NHL convinced me to cancel the order (in another string). Thanks NHL, it's nice having a good voice of reason around.
