A girl in our Youth at Church is on a Co-Ed Travel Team of Wheelchair Basketball. She is paralized from the waist down due to a car wreck. Some has Spinal Bifada, Birth Defects, some had cancer, or other injuries. They play all over the Country. They were playing locally and I had the pleasure attending part of the tournament. This game was hard to shoot, for me that is. Their goal is the same height as the Pro's use (10ft). Yes, they do fall and very seldom need help getting back up. These guys and gals are good.THEY ARE HAVING A TIME OF THEIR LIFE. I just wish that there was more spectators.

Thats great your doing wheelchair sports photos.

The pictures seem a little dark, so perhaps you can dial up the ISO a little?

Also, the flash seems a little hot.

If you dial up your ISO to the max, and shoot with the aperture wide open, you might not need any flash.

Hi Thunder..... like the shots. As Terry has said, if you can get the shot without flash it will be easier (you can shoot continuous without waiting for the flash to recharge) and will be less distracting for the players.

What Church do you go? Are you involved in the youth work yourself (I am)?

ThanksTerry and Mark for your comments. I used three different lenses that day. My kit lense 18-70 w/ sb-800 flash, sigma 70-200 f2.8 w/ flash, and 50 f1.8 without flash. I just chose these three to post. The rest can be seen at http://public.fotki.com/sepruett/southern_conference/.These guys are tough. They through themselves backwards with a push from their palms of their hands and using strong stomach muscles. Mark I am involved with our Youth. I go to New Bethany. Here is our homepage http://www.newbethany.org/nbbc/.
