It's a long way down after a miss.

Gredan - very nice concept. But given the choice between exposing the person and exposing the sky, I recommend exposing the person. The face is vastly under-exposed - and while the sky is very nice and blue, I think the shot could be better if the emphasis were on the person and not the sky.

After I looked at the picture, I realized I should have used some fill flash. This image is just as it was taken. I did try lightening it up, but didn't like the results. Lesson learned.

The way the bar sits on his foot, it really seems as if he was jumping forward and tripped over the bar.

If you use the shadows/highlights adjustment on photoshop, I think you may get some better results with this picture. I did a 10 second adjustment and it's not too bad (although I've had problems with my current monitor where I though things looked good, but on others not so great.)

Excellent job, Kevin. The sky and clouds still look great. I'm not an experienced Photoshop user and the clouds ended up very washed out when I tried.
Thanks |
