WOW. They are all spectacular but #4 stands out.The composition, skin exposure, (not to mention those hunky muscles) are perfect. I can almost feel the spray! nice work

NHL I'm in awe of your photo taking abilities. . .To quote Arthur Spooner from The King of Queens.
"my admiration for you is so strong right now. . it borders on lust" Do these photos have any post processing work done to them? Please tell me they do so I wont' feel like crap when ilook at my own photos. . ![]() |

Actually #1 and #4 is the same 'hunk' - He was also the most spectacular to watch! ![]() soliz39 You can rest easy now: I increased the saturation, resized, and sharpened slighly before adding the drop-shadow frame :-) -> Pictures in good light always come out good... especially southern CA! Thank You for the compliments... |

![]() I had only the EF 28-135mm USM IS for this trip, but I was able to get close to the actions from a fishing pier which has a nicer vantage point... than the beach ![]() |

Wow - you mean it's actually possible to take good shots - and action shots at that - without an L lens? I'm completely shocked. Very nice shots by the way. I have to say I like #3 because of the angle . |

![]() IMO People are too oversold by the marketing, I even read on a Nikon thread where a poster only buy lenses made in certain countries and not others... :-) :G ![]() |

![]() NHL, Great pics. Awesome. Can you and JohnG explain the little exchange in newbie terms? What am I (other newbies) missing in this exchange. Sounds like an old, running joke that may help in some of our camera and lens knowledge |
