That's some zoom range...!
Shot to shot time is reasonable also....
Battery life is worrying- as many users of the P500 had issues here...
Let's hope you did indeed have a dud....!
Shame there's no hotshoe.... and yet another bridge that doesn't have a filter thread...!!!!
I'm nitpicking here- but the body would've been nicer if it was a cm thicker- so as to make the screen tuck in nicely...
These designers have no sense of aesthetics.... lol...

I bought one upon release and have had no problem whatsoever with battery life.
This camera is something special, for those worried about the important things like RAW, a hotshoe, filter threads or superb video, look for another camera, but if all you want is top class photos (consistently because of the great stabilisation) between wide open and the full end of the stupendous zoom, then the P510 bears consideration.
It's becoming a top pick for birders, and its colour rendition does a great job on flowers.
