Hi,
I read your review. I am looking at getting a superzoom and choosing between the canon sx50 and Nikon p600. which would you recommend? Which would have the best image quality and video quality. I would also like to use it for portraits and some low light shots too.
I look forward to your feedback.
Cheers
Steve.

You'll want to check out our SX50 review to compare the two, and see which YOU like best. However, I will say that I've recommended the SX40 and SX50 to many of my personal friends, and they have been very happy with those models.

Be sure to take a look at the samples from both cameras, and see which one you think produces better results.

Good luck!

P.S. The PowerShot SX50 made our "Best Cameras" list, where as the P600 did not.

Whilst the P600 has it's flaws (all mentioned in the review)- the biggest disappointment is that all previous models had the same flaws- and clearly Nikon don't give a monkeys about their proposed purchasers..!
It's a pity, because the optics are pretty decent for a superzoom- at both wide-angle and at full zoom- just a shame the processing and AF can't make use of it...!!

stephennic- I'd agree with billy and take a "good" look at the Canon SX50...
