I've had mine for about several weeks now and really enjoy it. As for the images they are not what one would expect from a dSLR in regards to sharpness but the images produced by the G9X are more than satisfactory I think. This is a rainbow shot right before dark, the sun had already set below the horizon so there is a reddish hue to the entire image. This was shot in RAW @ ISO 125, the rest of the data was deleted with the original as I had no intention of keeping it because this was more of a show and tell snapshot. By the way, as for battery life, it seems pretty good to me.
