Whilst an ILC.... I wonder,will anyone go beyond the kit lens on a camera with no flash mount or a mode dial...? I doubt it...
Perhaps one of Canon's high-end compacts might be a better proposition if one's goal is compactness.... G7X anyone...? (or G5X,G9X...)

All good points.

I'm still not quite understanding their decision to not have a hot shoe. That was something the M3 and past EOS M models had.
