Last one...well you DID ask. All of these were taken with no studio lights, as I didnt have them at the time. Now I use 3 bowens 500 lights, and the results are excellent. Good luck with the studio....

Yes, good photos!.

I think the hardest thing I found when I tried to bring stuff home was not the room size itself,but the ceiling height. Open a stand, mount a light and try to use an umbrella, caused funny scrape lines on the ceiling. Solved by switching from umbrellas and using soft-boxes.

WOW! Great shots!

I am in the same boat. I have three halogen lights. Two are mounted on a stand and one is free moving. I just don't know where to start with placement.

I would also like it if somebody could post a pic of their light setup, and a picture taken with that light setup.

I really like Franks pics and would like to see some of his lighting layouts.

If anyone has any ideas as to what I could maybe do with these halogen lights, please let me know.

These are some very nice shots... and right on topic, the lighting is excellent. I'm not into people shots (yet... still building my courage) but I have been asked to do some shots for friends. I would love to be able to do some shots like this.

Ahhh Softboxes, now you are talking, this is my all-time favorite lighting. This pic, was taken outside using one softbox directly in front of the subject. Look closely, you can see me standing in the middle, in her eyes!!!

BTW, the criss-crossing on the face only appeared after reducing pic size...:sad:

Suffice to say, you can easily utilise any space and/or situation if you do it right and use the right lighting....get a softbox....Mmmmmm sooooftboooox...:homey:
