I have a couple of little Britek AS-36 strobes, they work fine with my Canon FD series and EOS series bodies. I've been trying to measure the trigger voltage on them unsuccessfully to determine if it is within the safe levels for my digital p&s.
Anyone used them successfully? Or any suggestions on how to properly meassure the trigger voltage? |

2) the flash/strobe must be ready to fire rem: the reading should be steady and the measurement should not make the flash fire (the voltage then drop down) see also here : http://www.botzilla.com/photo/G1strobe.html |

Problem turned out to be a toasted multi-meter, I bought a new one and the tested trigger voltages on my units are:
Britek AS-36 strobe-1 5.30v Britek AS-36 strobe-2 2.50v Vivitar 3700 with canon FD adapter 8.80v |
