i have a new d300 and i am trying to figure out what settings i need to take some portraits. i have a black muslin backdrop and 2 lighting umbrellas with (2) 85 watt florescent bulbs in each. i also have either the built in flash or an SB-600 flash to work with.
can someone "shed some light" on my problem? or give me some advice on what i should be doing. the pictures i've taken so far look like crap. i t just looks like i'm taking a photo with a point and shoot camera in front of an ugly black sheet.

HELP!! thanks in advance....
