Does anyone know the maximum voltage that can be put through the Sony R1 ACC port?* I have some studio strobes that fire at 11 to 12 volts and would like to use the ACC port to trigger them. (I know many recommend a max of 6 volts, but I have read in a dpreview forum that Sony hot shoes can actually handle much higher voltages.)Thank you.

A hot shoe maybe. But are you aware then the ACC port on the Sony cameras is actually a serial communications port. I would be VERY carful about connecting anything to the ACC port that was not designed to connect to it.

The Sony ACC port is really a LANC port (the name used on camcorders).
