Hi all
I am starting with home studio for portrets. I have plan with Nikon 8400, speedlight sb-600 as a main light and 2 vivitar 273 with slave triggers as a side light and backlight. I have some questions?
1. Is 85 mm zoom enough for portret?
2. Can I and how control the power of vivitar flashes?
3. To make dark picture with small parts iluminated (i.e. only eyes) how avoid reflection from walls and ceilling. Maybe use sort of black tent or how?
Thanks

Lots of questions...so here's mine:

85MM Zoom? What's the zoom range and what kind of camera/lens are you using?

Vivitar 273 flashes........don't own any so can't help you there. Have you done a Google search to find their user manuals?

Dark pictures with small parts illuminated should be done in a totally dark room with direct lighting (using scrims/snoots/honeycombs for lighting control).
