Default Continous light or flash?

What are the pros and cons with continous light and flash?

The continous light make the studio (well, "studio") more hot during longer photo shoots. But what else? Flash seem to be more expensive. Correct?

Are the flashes more powerful?

Right now I have the opportunity to buy either 2*1300w continous light package... or a similar 2*250w/s flash package.... for the same price.. what do you suggest?

(to be used in nude photography and some interior shots)

Is a blue car faster than a yellow car?

"more powerful" is a bit tricky but in your case I'll say that 250 watt second flashes are vastly more powerful than 1300 watts of hot light. No contest. As long as the quality is decent and the price in line with what you're getting I'd say certainly go with the strobes. With hot lights you'll be looking at 1/8 second exposures under typical circumstances. 500ws of flash will be plenty depending on what kind of modifiers you use.

If you don't mind my asking what is the specfic brand and model of the strobes and how much are you getting a kit for. They say figures do not lie but liars sure can figure. Sometimes you need to read between the lines in specifications.
