Hope this is the right forum finally...
I am trying to figure out how to fire my strobes with a nikon D70
am now using a sync cord and getting an average of
2 or 3 shots out of every 5 I take in rapid succession, the rest being black or dark as the strobes haven't fired.
Please advice what setting or configuration is wrong why this
happens. would really appreciate some experienced input on this.
THANKS IN ADVANCE,

It sounds to me like you may be shoting too fast for the strobe to recharge. depending on the power and brand of strobes you are using they can take from less than one second to much longer to recharge.. I use White lightning and Norman strobes and yes, I have had dark pictures from shooting too fast. depending on the situation i use sync cords, IR and radio to fire them.
