I have been borrowing a strobe setup and Im about to purchase a monolight setup. I am looking at two kits. One is the SP-Systems Pro 3200 form BH Photo and the other is Smith-Victor/Photogenic 800 from sell-it-on-the-net.

SP Systems

Smith Victor

Opinions on these two needed or alternative suggestions. The Smith Victor comes with more items but I cannot find any detailed info on the monolights shown on that page. Smith Victor bought Photogenic and neither site shows that exact monolight.

Thanks

Don't know much about SP, Smith Victor use to be a good name, and Photogenic used to be a good name. No Idea after the merger :-)

Alien Bees has a good solid reputation. Lot of people seem to really like them.

Definitely not disappointed. I'm very pleased with the quality and more power than I need, which is good.
