I am trying to shootstudio flash with my Fugi FinePix S7000 and I don't seem to be able to get the results that I see others getting. My pics are all either totaly washed out or have a murky, muddy appearance. I need some guidance as to setting etc. About the only thing I know for sure is that the external flash mode needs to be turned on. Do I use M,A,S or P setting or ???. I have a flash meater but when I try to set the camera using the information from the meater I get the wahsed out effect. I am a retired professional wedding portrait photographer and this digital stuff is all new. Thanks for any help.

I am not expert in studio stuff, but IMO you must use M (manual) setting in general.
speed: 1/125, 250 or quicker, aperture : ajusted depending on your light system settings.

You should find your answer here in many old threads/discussion

Good luck
