I bought EOS 20D two weeks ago and just found out one problem about the EOS 20D flashlight. When I use the flashlight, when I half press the button sometimes the flashlight is blinking.

Let me be more specific. When I half press the button, the flashlight is blinking and then it stops blinking. Then I press all the way down, itshot the flashlight and take the picture as it should be.The picture looks ok. When I say it is blinking, it is more like the flashlight turn on and off 5~6 times in 1~2 seconds.

Ihave EOS 500 and PowershotS400 and S500. I never have this kind of problem. Anyone has this kind of problem?

IMO it's not a problem...

This occurs when the camera need to focus in total darkness and do not happen when there's enough ambient light. You can turn this feature off through the camera's Custom Functions or use an external flash where this external unit will project an infrared beam instead of pulsating the flash!
