I have a dx6490 kodak.

When i take a picture the flash will not work.

When i review the picture it says the flash fired??

Do i need a replacement flash? and if so where can i find one?

You have to send the camera to repair the flash.
The alternative , if your camerais out of warranty or if you don't want to spend or miss your camera during repair, is to buy an external flash and plug it in the sync port :
