hey guys

can i use flouresant tube lighting for portraits and wil this produce decent results. i have just seen some real cheap and i was quite impressed by the soft light they give off.

any suggestion will be much appreciated.

You can use them but I recommend that you use 5000K Philips bulbs. Do a google search for "homeade kinfolow". Also check this out:
