Default Acrylic floordrop

I'm thinking of buying a piece of acrylic to use on top of color paper drop for a studio cake smash session. I'm new to studio lighting and I'm renting a space to hold the session.

Has anyone here used this material and can you recommed a lighting senerio. I want to get the reflection of the cake and balloons. The only lighting I've used is a main light at 45 w/ a fill on a 45.

About the only thing I could recommend would be to get set up enough beforehand to be able to take some test shots. You will likely have to work at it to keep the light reflections from showing up on the acrylic. Side lighting and a lens hood could work.
