Go to:
http://www.flickr.com/cameras/canon/powershot_sd900/ You'll find a good selection ofexcellent landscape shots there taken with your camera model. Its mostly about composition but you might want to look at the exif information associated with the shots to see what camera settings were being used. Learn from those users. What works for them will work for you too. |

Hi coogee,
may I comment on your three pictures. I have to add that comments are easy, seeing a picture in hindsight, to get it right the first time is a grat achievement, to get it perfect most of the time is impossible. So don't take any offence.I am no genius myself. Pic 1. Awsome landscape for the person at the site. The image lacks some depth, to add depth to the picture add a foreground like a tree some rocks or even a person. Pic 2. This one has great potentials, for my liking the major parts are too far away. Trim a good part from the empty top, similar a good portion of the foliage and concentrate on the bridge and the bay. Pic 3. Another one with potentials. First compose it in portrait format that gets rid of the unimportant parts, mainly on the left. I future try to have a better background (Easier said than done I know) Hope we are still on speakingterms! Cheers Finzie |

Check out PBASE and see what other people's shots look like.
http://www.pbase.com/galleries?view=popular By looking at what other photographers do, you'll get some great ideas regarding what you'd like to be able to do. |
