Best tip I can give anyone who takes pictures is to back up
your stuff at least once a week and do it in multiples on seperate drives and media. Your hardrive(s) will fail.
There is nothing worse than losing precious photos.

External hard-drives for storage are cheap now.
Do it now. DVD's and CD's are great if you don't have
too much. All hard-drives eventually go bad so keep backing
up to fresh media.
