Hi Everyone,

I have a Sony Cyber Shot T1 which I find is convenient for taking snaps of live bands that I see in bars and other venues.

Recently i've upgraded my memory capacity and have started taking videos at the same shows. The only problem is that the noise seems to be too loud for the on-board microphone and there is no way to change the recording volume (that i've found).

Does anyone have a tip or trick for reducing the sound level manually so I don't have movie that have sound which 'peaks out'? I haven't tried sticking a piece of cotton wool over the mic, but i'm guessing this could be a solution. Has anyone tried any methods like this?

Thanks in advance

actually, I was just about to say the cotton of the mic. What I've done was bought a cheap pair of headphones with a microphone attached and removed the soft mic tissue and taped it over the camera mic and found that this works successful!
