My Fujifilm J28 (about two years old) suddenly stopped accepting the memory card - it pops out of the slot when inserting it, without locking inside. Will it be worthwhile to send it for repair? Or has somebody fixed similar problem himself? Or should we just get a new camera? (The camera is in a pretty good shape otherwise, almost like new.)
Thanks,
Sergey

My guess is that the warranty has expired, so you'll be charged for the repair (even if it hasn't), plus the postage.
If you can't fix it yourself, you might be better off replacing it.
Is it possible the camera won't accept the card if it is in the locked position, and the switch got changed?

If possible try applying the ultimate high tech testing technique: swap parts.
Try a different card in your camera, and try your card in a different device (camera, phone, computer, ...). That will at least tell you if the problem is in the card or the camera. Whichever it is, toss it into the garbage and get a replacement (unless you have the warranty, the original sales invoice, all the original packaging, the return code, the name of the sales clerk, ...).
