Default Diffusers

One topic I don't see listed here in Tips & Tricks is diffusers. I find them very helpful to get a natural glare-free lighting when using the built-in pop-up flash. If you find yourself avoiding the flash simply because you don't like the unnatural light then try a diffuser. You can use various things as a diffuser or you can buy them. I often simply use several layers of white tissue paper held in front of the flash. They are particularly useful for close-ups where glare and washouts are a common problem.
