not only is that a joke but its a really old joke... i remember seeing that in print! before e-mail, when office's would fax that around to other offices... its very funny that folks here thought it was real!!!

I didn't realize it was that old. It is kind of funny
though as i noted, the first couple of years are a switch to a more germanic spelling of things, after that is when the joke starts. |

I think that all words should be spelt as they are said. American English is the way to go. the use of French spelling in the English language should be banned. colour,centre, for example. cough should be coff. Laugh should be Laff. Still roll on Sunday when the Froggies vote "NON" |

I think the "ough" = "off" in cough is actually old Germanic then old English, not from some French lineage. French comes from a more Latin base and is more related to Spanish and Portugese.
