HI there...

Well wud like to trouble u guys for another matter. I was trying to take some flix at night on Av Priority and i realised that the camera was not focussing the object automatically which it does when in the sun.

It functioned fine on manual focus but the effe ct was again not the same.

Kindly advice on the same.

Thanks...

Deepak Khanna.

I'm guessing you may of had your aperture set to a smaller aperture that was not letting in enough light for the auto focus to work properly.

I will guess it was to dark for your camera to find the focus on what ever it was you were trying to get a shot of...I have had that happen before...Just to dark for the camera to find it...

Caboose - unless the OPs camera is different than most, the camera focuses with the aperture wide open no matter what - it only closes down when the exposure is taken.

John's got it - most cameras can only focus to a cetain EV level (what that level is will very by camera) and then need focus assist light to focus after that.
