i do believe it is in this section. i read it awhile ago.
i did a search and still didn't find it. i may have worded it wrong. anyway, its where someone took a long exposed picture or used photoshop, where the same person is in the picture 3-4 times, really cool stuff!! thanks in advance, john |

John,
Take a look in Members & Family Photos. There is a post in there called Self Portrait that you might be interested in. |

i have done similar and technique i use is as follows
camera must be on tripod and not move at all frame the shot as u are going to want it and allow for the different places u want to be in the shot. take a series of shots with you in all the places open all the images in photoshop and copy and paste or drag and drop all into the same shot giving you multiple layers. because camera never moved just line edges up if need be, and cut/rub out various bits oftop layerto see the image belowand then below that here is one i did of the falkirk wheel same principles applied, took the shots to show how it turned, to lower boats from one canal to a lower canal gary ![]() |

Dr. Mr. Vandertramps,
Tell us exactly how you did the picture in question. I'm sure you can do another picture from memory. I would love to learn to do this. Thank you for your time. Respectfully, divertwo |

Another method is to make a panoramic montage of overlapping shots, with the person moving between each shot. Just hand-holding them works fine, provided you use landmarks in the viewfinder to keep the camera in line, and allow about 30% overlap. To make the image taller and less wide, you can use vertical format as you rotate the viewpoint.
You can try it using the free demo version of 'autostitch', http://www.autostitch.net, which is fully functional, or other packages described in in the 'Panoramas/Stitching' forum right here. Here is an example, taken on the Isle of Unst, Shetland, not far from Hermaness, northern tip of what's left of the British Empire. It's not much changed, apart from resizing from when I put the images straight from the camera into Autostitch. Good luck, Alan T |
