Hi all, I'm getting really interested in taking moonshots with my canon a630. But as it only has 4x optical zoom, I can't get the moon close enough
Any suggestions how to? Btw, Are these settings ok? iso: 80 // shutter: 0.5" to 2" |

2 second shutter ?
Seems way too long. For my last moon shoots (near full) I used ISO64, F5.6 and 1/160s ThoughI was using a x12 H1 +x1.7 tcon and metering directly off the moon. |

This shot really surprised me. Taken with the Nikon S10 last weekend at 4:16PM before dark. 40x zoom. Full Auto mode. No tripod. Focal Length: 253.2ISO 50.
Considering this is small point-and-shoot camera I never thought I'd see more than the ball of white light in the sky! Malinda |
