Is anybody vexed about the sound made by the zoom of the Nikon Coolpix 8800? I don't know if it is normally or my camera has a bug. I don't have a seller representative to ask for, so I posted this question on this forum.
My first digital camera was Konica Minolta Z5 and believe me there is a big difference between them: on KM Z5 the sound of the zoom is imperceptible … so when I started the Nikon 8800 I was really scared about this. Please help me! :O |

I guess it is just part of the zoom function. At least you know it works. It does not
concern me. I am just trying to figure out night shots myself.:? |

It is not a very loud sound, but ... now I am enlightened. I was scared at the start because I didnt expect a such sound comparatively to Konica Minolta Z5 (zoom sound is imperceptible on Z5).
To the rest I'm pleased with Nikon 8800 ... excepting the "exasperating" time to write on CF at RAW and 8mp (on Z5 the time was "zero" at 5mp-fine). |
