Hello, I am a newbee to the diigcam world and need an dvise on the setting to be done for the Canon S5. The night scene auto mode does not gives good pictures.

I want ot shoot scenes like the night scene on the vegas strip.

Can some one provide the setting for the camera so that I can shoot the photos. Thanks for the reply.

Post an example so we can get an idea of what the problem is. Shake? Underexposre? White balance? Bad focus? Motion blur? ... Leave the EXIF data with the image so we can look up the shutter speed, ISO, and f/stop.

Without knowing for sure what you problem is, I'd guess shake is the major problem due to a long shutter speed. The setting that solves that problem is setting the camera on a tripod, though a fence post or bean bag on a car hood will help a lot.
