Hi
at the mo im using Fuji s7000 (a wonna-be SLR) and tozoom youpress buttons on the back the motors in the lense move the lens away from each other, creating the zoom, then press the shutter release down half way and it focus's Is this the same with real SLR's you zoom with the ring on the lense, then use another ring to focus? (also if i zoom right in lets say 200mm and focus on the object im aiming at, and then zoom the camera out to lets say 24mm will the object that im aiming at go out of focus?) If you can answer "both" these questions it would help me alot in deciding to go to "real-SLR" ![]() Thank you! |

some interchangeablelenses are 'one touch' - the same ring focuses and zooms (rotate to focus, push/pull in/out to zoom) - not very good except forquick use
some are two touch (separate rings for focus and zoom) - zoom to max, focus, zoom to compose - voila, the best possible focus - with separate rings you can focus and then recompose w/o problem ps. the lens ring will zoom the lens on the s7000! (almost like a real camera ha ha) |

True the s7000 does zoom with the ring as it does focus but everything is done by little motors (they didnt state that in the brochure or the fact that the View finder is digital not optical)
Im thinking along the lines of Nikon D70 (min)- D100 (max) (personaly i dont know any difference other than the shell looks different and the price is different and possibly the prism) And thanks for the reply made good sence! ![]() |

Supose that solves the argument, 7D with minolta lens, ah but you will need to add a Canon accessory to solve it lol
