I tried fast shutter. but the dogs are always active and moving and it gets blurred. Anyone got any ideas? just got 2 two month old dogs. theyre so cool. I want to get some pictures of them. Thanks in advance everyone!

When you say you tried fast shutter, what do you mean? For fast moving puppies, you probably need 1/250th or faster. If you are shooting auto, it probably isn't going to happen. You need to use shutter priority and probably kick the ISO up a couple notches.

Whether you can use these suggestions depends on the camera you are using. If it is a point and shoot, try using sports or action mode.

changed my sn. Anyways. I have an a95. I finally was able to take pictures while the dogs were tired and sitting still.

out of 20 pics, only like 3 come out sharp/clear. I think i gotta read up on my manual and read up on some digi cam knowledge :G

Maybe take pictures of them pups outside on a nice sunny day.

Or use a flash.

Okay, I meant bounce a flash off the ceiling, not directly into those little critters eyes!

Nice dogs, what breed are they? They look like St. Bernards!

I take great shots of my dog using the auto sports mode on my 20D since my dog is always moving or running. The pics turn out great.

I know I will probably get crucified for admitting using the sports mode, but I'm not an accomplished expert photograper like most of the posters on this board. I'm in the learning phase. :G

theyre mixed chihuahua/miniture pincher/pomeranian I have a canon a95 and i dont think i have the sports mode. But I am messing with the shutter priority mode.
