That is a beautiful MG, very well captured. :)

Looks like it came right off the showroom floor.

NO NO NO NO! Never two tone a classic. Looks more like it just came from Chip Foose's shop as ordered by someone with more money than respect for the marque.

I know what you're saying..... But in the '50's some MG's did have a factory two tone paint job. Don't think it was common. MG called it varitone.

Don't know if this is one is a factory varitone.

My favourite paint job on any British sportscar would have to be British Racing Green....with black leather interior. :)

You are correct, Lesmore, about the color but the leather MUST be tan or brown. I have always coveted a Morgan +4 in BRG and fawn interior. Wire knockoffs also a must have.

Morgan's are beautiful cars....a couple around here....love the grille and the headlights. Two British sports cars I always wanted....but never got....was the Austin Healy 3000 and the Sunbeam Tiger with as the ads used to say....powered by Ford V8.

The Tiger as you know, was really an Anglo-American hybrid....Brit body...USA powertrain. I've always thought of it as the poor man's Cobra.

My colour of choice would be BRG....as is yours.

Streets you are just too picky LOL
I am the same way 'KEEP it Original"

blkms May 8, 2013 5:37 PM

That does look pretty original; if you can get hold of a copy of "The Classic MG" by Richard Aspden, turn to pages 56 & 57 and you will find an export model TD destined for the US market in the same colour scheme, including the red leather. :D
