I was at LAX, at the east end of runway 24R. There's a small park there directly under the path of the planes.
I was surprised by the amount of photographers that were there. I'd say at least 10. I looked for some information on photographing around the airport and found an interesting article online from our local paper

I'm sure there's nothing in the article that you don't already know but I was quite surprised.

One more, Just before touchdown. I hope the pilot is wearing some sunglasses.

Cool...the silhouette shot is fantastic..stands a good chance of being published on www.airliners.net. I don't get out to California often but LAX is on my list of places to visit and spot from/ Thanks also for the article...I had heard about the park by the IN-Out Burger place but not the one you were at. I'll be out there soon!

I head out to YVR (Vancouver Airport) when ever I can, there is a service road (public) that runs at the very end of the runway, holding is done over the Pacific Ocean, and I watch them in the holding patterns frequently at night when I take the ferry to the island.
