Rare and neat bird. Thanks for sharing.

Couple of corrections. The leading edge air intakes where for the cooling radiators. The earliest Fireflys had an under nose radiator although I've seen some sources state the opposite. I'll try to pin that down better tonight. The Griffon engine was also a Rolls-Royce design/product.

Yeah I was looking online, and it looks like the earlier models did not have the wing vents. they appear to have come in with the Mk 4 version of the airplane (which also happens to be the upgraded griffen).
