Headed out early to the airport. The cool morning and clear day was ideal for plane spotting. Loitered around till about 10:00 AM when I noticed heat distortion on the runways. In the middle of the shoot, ATC changed the pattern and had aircraft taking off on Rwy 36L instead...was a nice change in perspective. Anyways, these were some of my keepers.
Jehan EMB170 Just landed on Rwy 18L. Check out the captain holding on to the assist grip as the plane decelerates. ![]() A CRJ-900 taxing to the ramp ![]() Comair CRJ-900 ER departing Cincinnati. ![]() |

Nice! I found out today just how difficult it it to photograph aircraft on the flightline.

Thanks GJ...I long for access to the ramp (i.e. inside the fence) though! I hear the L'ville has some decent areas to spot aircraft...send me a PM if you know this to be true!

Thanks Shoturtle and Dustin...that last image was a special treat from ATC when they changed the take-off pattern. Morning sun behind me, a nice clear blue sky with a hint of a cloud, and the aircraft taking off in just the right spot made it work. I may submit this one to airliners.net...wish me well. ![]() |
