go go go

Ah fastline, that brings back allot of memories. nicely capture at sunset. Do not think a slower shutter speed would have been good for this shot, it may bring the rotor blur into play. But the soldier sliding down would be blurred as well.

Great, great, great pick!

Great composition and fantastic lighting! Bravo!

Very effective photo, cool!!!

I think you would have found it hard unless in the evening to get any rotor blur (or using some serious ND filters), however if the light was low enough then you certainly could get some blur and still keep the soldier sharp as we are talking 450mph for the blade tips.

Did you know that at full throttle, a helios blades can get close to the speed of sound. Think the lynx has the record in the high 600 or low 700mph range.

Yep sure did but that's in forward flight rather than the hover so I just went for an example speed compared to the soldier.

Part of air assault, I had to be know the specs of almost all nato helio. It was one of those things that just stuck in my head. Never really did a brain dump on allot of the stuff I learned. ;)

thank you all for the comments
the motion blur on the rotor didn't cross my mind at the moment (it was point and shoot), but now i have to agree that it's missing
