Default Garapevine Lake, Texas

It is my opinion that if there is a lake nearby, many Texans think that it is a good way to keep their assets afloat. This lake is six miles long and maybe two miles wide. The marina in these photos is one of three of similar size. I saw one boat on the lake today: An outboard powered bass boat about 18 feet long. Weekends and holidays see very few boats out of harbor. The verdict: We sure know how to blow our money in these parts. If, by chance, all the boats harbored here were to head for the lake, no one would have room to move.
