The shot is intriguing, but leaves me wanting to see more of the buildings. How about posting some more of this?

Yes Mount Athos is consirered areligious place for the Orthodox. You are not quite right about that you need permission to get there. Anyone can go there but its like visit U.S where you need a "visa" to get in. Its really easy to get there anyone who would like to visit the place can find information on the web. Just google it and you can find more information about the place.

eh...

In fact I owe my sympathy and piece of information about that place to the narrations of a friend of mine whoworks as a monkat St. George Monastry on Prince Island in Istanbul. He had lived in Mount Athos for about five years..
