Khao Lak was one of the hardest hit area form the Tsunami. The hotel I stay at had a pole indicating the hight of the water. It was 30 meters high about the roof of the hotel. These were taken back in 08 with a point and shoot.

After many long and fun days, this is an example of the dinner we had. And not very expensive. :D

Yes Hards,

It is a good thing to see that life is getting back to normal there. We spent a day volunteering at the tsunami help center. There is still allot to fix there.

This was Phuket, Patong Beach. Way to crowded, just want to see it, but glad we decided to say an hour out of phuket.

Beautiful looking spot and a good travelogue you have presentated. All my tropicals travels have been to select Caribbean islands (not the traditional tourist spots). It is shorter distance to travel compared to Thailand! The only distant spot I've given serious thought to is (are?) the Maldive Islands in the Indian Ocean.

BTW, what's on the dinner plate...Jumbo Prawns?? Looks very scrumptuous!

3 kilo of Tiger Prawns actually. And it was scruptuous
