I need a quick release top go on my cameras that will fit on a Stitz Video CV550Q tripod. Can any one help. The one I had was stolen along with one of my camers

Most camera/video tripod screws are of uniform size. Depending on what you wanted to spend, I would pick up a decent brand of quick release (Bogen, Gitzo, etc).

Thanks for the response. The screw on most Quick releases ree uniform, I have tried several. The problem is to find one that will fit this model tripod.

please put in your country/state of origin. it helps us help you while referencing model numbers and product names which are different in different countries. this is a US based sitebut manyof the memberscome from all parts of the the global village.

pointing you in the right direction is always the aim of this site.

so far every reference to stitz except for 1 is from a country outside of the US.

ok now for the maybe bad news. this is a tripod that has had many names hung on it. you should try to go back to the original place it was purchased from (please don't tell me eBay) and see if they can contact their original vendor to maybe get the plate. as this was not a widely known product and wasen't one of the higher priced ones out there you may need to think of a new one to replace it due to the possible lack of support for it.

Thanks. The place where it was purchased has been sold and the company that bought them has no knowledge of where it came from. Maybe you are right, a new one may be the answer.

suggest companies like manfrotto, slik, velbon. these are companies that can and will support their product in the US and other countries.

I have a quick release from a Stitz Handy-IV HD-4 tripod. The head on it broke and some of the quick release button's for the leg's but the rest of it is good. I had a hard time finding anything for it so I bought a new one. And the quick release that your missing is useless to me.

Thanks, how could I get it.

Daniki69 Jan 2, 2006 3:50 AM

The only way we can do that is trade email addresses or mailing addresses. By chance do you have Yahoo? Good thing I also bumped into your posting on here while I was looking for a new head for it. If I would not have seen it I would have tossed it.

tsid1 Jan 2, 2006 4:41 PM

I am in Birmingham, AL. [email protected] is my e-mail. Do you have the rest of the tripod? I am also missing a screw on one of the legs. I will pay any shipping costs for quick release and other parts for parts.

As I stated in the email that Isent to you. I have the entire tripod including the broken head. I was going to recycle the aluminum leg's that is if you did not want them too.

tsid1 Jan 5, 2006 3:16 PM

Yes, I would like them. How can I get them?

Daniki69 Jan 8, 2006 9:50 AM

I think it would be better to reply to that email I sent you with the pictures and saying exactly what it is you wanted from that. Not unless you want to post your home address here on this sight for the world to see. If you did not get that email then I think you better change your settings in your email program to allow it. This tripod is getting under foot fast and it's looking very good to throw away.

tsid1 Jan 8, 2006 4:55 PM

Please resend your e-mail. I didn't get it or I may have deleted it by mistake. I do get pictures so I know my settings are correct.

[email protected]

I'll get it right this time or you can throw it away.

Thanks for your patience.
