Hey Guys,

been looking into a new tripod.. looking at something reasonably light, decent ability to get low to the ground and be able to support a 70-200 2.8 or100-400.. like to keep the price around 200USD (so no Gitzo Carbons.. darn)

been looking at the Benbo Trekker Mk2.. its got a rather interesting design, but i am a little worried about its stability as this design doesn't look to be as stable as others.. its supposedly rated to 17lbs, but looking at it, i am not sure i buy that.. any ideas...

other options::

Slik Pro 400dx.. looks rather sturdy.. holds over 10lbs.. and definately the price is right.. but the price being that right has me a little worried

Monfrotto 3021 w/ 322RC2 .. well recognized and respected tripod.. everything i have heard about this one is positive.. good load capacity.. ball head with the grip looks nice, but feel free to suggest an alternate head that doesnt raise the price much.. the price is a bit over what i wanted, but still manageable..

Let me know what you all think... and thanks in advance..

so don't go gitzo carbon. look at the gitzo g2220 explorer. at $220 you could stretch it a bit and get a better performing tripod setup
